CHOOKAS ZAMIA YOUTH THEATRE: Nurturing Young Creatives on Tamborine Mountain

2025 marks the beginning of Chookas Zamia Youth Theatre, where children are encouraged to dream big and step into the world of storytelling, imagination, and collaboration. Through dynamic workshops, engaging rehearsals, and inspiring productions, the theatre provides a platform for young people to develop their confidence, communication skills, and artistic talents. Whether they’re mastering improvisation, learning the art of stagecraft, or dazzling audiences in full-scale performances, every child is supported to shine in their own unique way.

A cornerstone of the youth theatre’s philosophy is inclusivity. Chookas Zamia welcomes young people of all abilities and backgrounds, fostering a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels valued. By combining creativity with community, the theatre not only develops budding performers but also nurtures empathy, teamwork, and lifelong friendships.

Chookas classes will be held from 12.30-5pm Saturdays and 6.30-8pm Mondays by Chookas Director Caitlin Yeager.
